Physical Health & Well-Being

This section will assist you with locating resources in San Diego County to help teens and young adults stay physically healthy, such as general medical services, reproductive health services, hospitals and emergency medical care services, and dental services.

Rest Haven Children’s Health Fund

Rest Haven Children’s Health Fund provides one time or short term funding for health related needs for individual children who meet our eligibility requirements. Funds are also provided to assist health care development and to purchase needed services.

Rady Children’s Hospital: Medical Behavioral Unit

Inpatient care is provided for children, adolescents and young adults with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and related eating disorders. These patients include those who have abnormal cardiovascular function or are severely underweight and require nutrition intervention and monitoring under expert care.

Harmonium: Family Youth Partnership Program

Harmonium’s Family Youth Partner Program offers full service partnerships to children and transition age youth. Within this program, San Diego County Mental Health and Harmonium are working together with mental health therapists to achieve treatment plan goals. Our staff members understand that mental health issues are often complicated by other life challenges such as physical health, limited resources, economics, educational needs, employment, legal system and daily life experiences.

Neighborhood House Association: HIV/AIDS Services

The program provides comprehensive, ongoing assistance to individuals with HIV/AIDS. Case Management staff advocates on behalf of clients to ensure proper treatment and care. The program consists of three components: intensive case management for ex-offenders, general case management and peer advocacy.

We offer high quality, low-cost primary health care at five state-of-the-art clinic sites. For your convenience we offer extended evening and weekend hours, same day appointments, pharmacy and laboratory services on-site, and free door to door transportation.Our board-certified or board-eligible medical doctors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners serve all members of the community, regardless of insurance status.
