Operation Samahan: Youth to Youth Center

The mission of the Youth 2 Youth Center (Y2Y) is to empower youth to make healthy decisions for themselves through guidance, education, and access to services. We provide community education and awareness to the youth aged 12-24 living in the South Bay area of San Diego with strategies to motivate and help change attitudes and behaviors, that will help provide a sense of belonging and security. We provide education and enrichment for students to achieve academic success and ongoing counseling and resources that deal with youth delinquency and substance abuse.

Providence Community Services: Oasis Clubhouse

The Oasis Clubhouse is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Members and visitors are welcome to drop in any time during business hours. Tours of the Clubhouse are also available by appointment for visitors or new members. The Oasis Clubhouse is member-run and our dynamic programming targets the unique needs of Transition Age Youth.

Community Research Foundation: Casa del Sol Clubhouse

Casa Del Sol operates on the work ordered day model where activities related to the operation of the program are utilized as opportunities for member participation, training, and recovery. The program is member directed and membership is life-long. At Casa Del Sol Clubhouse, different functions necessary for the program’s operation are divided into departments. All tasks are completed voluntarily by members who learn through experience and practice. In addition to certain necessary departments, Casa Del Sol Clubhouse offers training and work experience in other work areas as requested by the membership whenever possible. All staff is dedicated to the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation and actively partnering with the members to achieve their personal goals. The clubhouses provide services in a culturally sensitive manner.

San Diego Urban Teachers Fellow Program

The Urban Teacher Fellows (UTF) program is a Career Pathway into Teaching Model that supports students while they are enrolled as a liberal arts major at San Diego City College. Once the students complete the transfer requirements for liberal arts, the students gain automatic admission to San Diego State University to continue their education.

New Haven Youth & Family Services: Center for Community Connections

Community Connections offers supportive services (such as transportation, childcare, and interview attire), counseling, and educational and vocational assistance. The center is open Monday through Saturday, and young adults drop in or attend scheduled workshops and individualized tutoring. They also enjoy the basketball court, weight room, movie theater, computers, and special events.
