Mental Health Counseling – San Diego Rescue Mission

Psychotherapy Center provides free, quality counseling to individuals, families, children and couples who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or unable to afford therapy.

Survivors of Suicide

Survivors of Suicide Loss (SOSL) reaches out to and supports people who have lost a loved one to suicide. Their goal is to give survivors a place where they can be comfortable expressing themselves, a place to find support, comfort, resources and hope in a judgement-free environment.

Job Options Inc.

Job Options (JOI) is a San Diego-based not-for-profit company that provides professional service personnel, many of whom have severe mental, physical or psychological disabilities, in basic services such as janitorial, hospital environmental, food service, laundry, administrative and clerical, commissary inventory management and shelf-stocking services. Areta Crowell BPSR Center

Areta Crowell Wellness Recovery Center’s services are based on the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation, with emphasis on attending to the whole person and re-establishing one’s life as a result of the consequences of mental illness, rather than simply attending to the symptoms of the illness. The services focus on recovery, rehabilitation, and community integration, and are individualized to meet the needs of each client. Clients actively participate in setting service plan goals and are encouraged to involve family and significant others in the recovery plan.

Love is Respect

This website is basically dating: 101. It explores what dating looks like, ways to respect your partner’s needs, and how to communicate what you want. It also deals with dating abuse, ‘which happens when one partner exerts power and control over the other’. It has tips to help you learn how to prevent, recognize and escape unhealthy relationships (online and off), and even offers legal assistance from the lawyer volunteer program and a live peer chat line.

UPAC: Alliance for Community Empowerment (ACE) Program

Alliance for Community Empowerment (ACE) Program was created to address the effects of community violence, strengthen the family, and empower the community. All services aim to create stronger family bonds, reduce delinquent behavior, and advance community respect. All programs are free and target San Diego’s central region.

UPAC: Helping Empower Authentic Relationships for Teens Program (H.E.A.R.T.)

The San Diego Helping Empower Authentic Relationships for Teens Program (H.E.A.R.T.) offers intervention services for male and female dating violence victims ages 13-24. While H.E.A.R.T. services target youth and young adults living in the Asian/Pacific Islander, Latino, and African American communities residing in the City Heights and Southeast San Diego areas; all are welcome!

Crestwood Chula Vista Mental Health Rehabilitation Center

The mission of Crestwood San Diego is to provide an alternative to traditional psychiatric care through collaboration, empowerment, a healing environment, peer providers, family partners, and a recovery-oriented milieu. Crestwood San Diego provides the structure and support needed to promote stabilization and foster recovery. Our goal is to restore a sense of hope, self-empowerment and realized potential of recovery in each of our clients.

Psychiatric Centers at San Diego

PCSD has practiced in San Diego County since 1972, and has enjoyed a reputation for its state of the art treatment and quality of care.  The members of PCSD are active in inpatient and outpatient care, medical and clinical administration, research, teaching, lecturing, and clinical writing.  Our physicians are trained in evaluation, rapid intervention, short term treatment, and sophisticated medication management.  Likewise, our psychologists and therapists are trained in both individual and family therapy, as well as group, short term crisis intervention, and long term psychotherapy, when appropriate.  Our nurse practitioners are equally trained in individual and family therapy, as well as group therapy, crisis intervention, and medication management. 11 locations are available throughout San Diego County.
