San Diego Center for Children: North County Academy
Located in Carlsbad, North County Academy is a San Diego County Office of Education school that is created through a collaborative partnership between North Coastal Consortium of Special Education and San Diego Center for Children. North County Academy serves 80+ students, grades 5th-12th, who are placed in the program through their Individual Education Plan. The purpose of the collaborative partnership is to offer a school designed to meet the unique academic and therapeutic needs of students with behavioral health challenges that affect their academic success. As the only program in the area equipped to provide this level of academic and therapeutic support, the environment is a unique blend of counseling, skill-building and education. The integrated academic and therapeutic environment is the result of multi-dimensional staffing that, as a team, focus very specifically on improving the student’s academic progress and overall behavioral health.

San Diego Center for Children Academy
The San Diego Center for Children Academy is a nonpublic school – accredited by the Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC) – allowing students a place to flourish in the classroom – and in life. Our academic and behavioral principles are rooted in finding the strengths and passionseach child brings that will allow them to achieve their personal best. Many factors can be at the root of distractive, unproductive or unhealthy behaviors at school. From developmental delays and learning disabilities to emotional and social stressors, how well a child learns and performs at school can be significantly impacted when behavioral health conditions are present. We understand many students just need extra support in their academic and personal growth that is not always available in a traditional classroom. Each teacher at the Academy is credentialed in special education, and our staff-to-student ratio allows for close instruction, direction and assistance.

Sharp Mesa Vista: Eating Disorders Program
The team of compassionate experts at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital can help adults suffering from eating disorders develop healthier relationships with food and their bodies. The program is designed to treat the complex and long-term issues associated with eating disorders. Utilizing treatments based on evidence, we help patients gain freedom from obsessive thoughts and improve coping skills.

Mental Health Systems: Kinesis North Bio-Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program
Bio-Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program (BPSR) Kinesis North Clinic is an adult (TAY welcomed) outpatient mental health clinic that serves those who have serious and persistent mental health issues. Our program helps individuals with psychiatric disabilities to live and socialize within their communities. We also assist participants in finding work that matches their strengths and abilities. Our services include supporting recovery from mental health and substance abuse issues by assisting in developing skills to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

South Bay Guidance Wellness Recovery Center
The South Bay Guidance Wellness Recovery Center’s services are based on the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation, with an emphasis on attending to the whole person and re-establishing one’s life as a result of the consequences of mental illness, rather than attending to the symptoms of the illness. We focus on recovery, rehabilitation, and community integration, and are individualized to meet the needs of each client. This center also has three specialized programs: Full Service Partnership Case Management, and targeted services for Transition Aged Youth and Older Adults.

Union of Pan Asian Communities: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program
UPAC’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program provides intensive outpatient behavioral health services and case management for seriously emotionally disturbed (SED) children and families utilizing a comprehensive approach that is community based, client and family driven, trauma informed, and culturally competent. The program focuses on providing services to underserved Asian Pacific Islanders (API) and Latino SED clients with an emphasis on API clients.

Union of Pan Asian Communities: Transition Age Youth Biopsychosocial Rehabilitation Program and Clubhouse
The Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) is a nationally recognized non-profit organization, offering multicultural, multilingual, comprehensive physical and mental health services to Asian, Pacific Islander and other ethnic communities. The program provides social education, vocational and community reintegration for clients recovering from mental health issues.

Kickstart’s Prevention and Early Intervention Program is recovery oriented, trained to educate the community, treat youth, and assist families in preventing psychosis.

Exodus Mental Health Walk-In Assessment Center (WIAC) serves adults and older adults who are experiencing a mental health crisis or have an urgent need for mental health services. The goals of the program are to provide short-term mental health services to adults who are in need of crisis intervention services, who might otherwise present at emergency rooms for mental health services, or who are waiting to connect to ongoing County Mental Health programs.
