Stepping Stone of San Diego

Stepping Stone welcomes all individuals for services related to alcohol and drug addiction, and those in need of life-enhancing recovery from co-occurring conditions. It is our mission to primarily serve the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community. Clients often have other medical and psychiatric conditions that interact with and impact their addiction.

Freedom Ranch

Freedom Ranch provides a program of recovery that saves lives. We’ve helped thousands of men. Surveys show a full year after they leave our 120-day program a resounding number of our alumni are still sober. Many are now professional, business and civic leaders in the San Diego community and around the nation.

Pathfinders of San Diego: Recovery Homes

Pathfinders of San Diego is a long term, residential, social-model men’s recovery home that has been treating those suffering from alcoholism since 1950. Located in beautiful San Diego, Pathfinders provides a safe and pro-social environment that is beneficial to the healing process. Using a biopsychosocial approach to treatment of alcohol addiction, pathfinders provides our residents an affordable, long term reintegration solution while acquiring the tools to achieve long term sobriety and a healthy, productive and independent life.

Pathfinders of San Diego: Shelter Plus Care

The Pathfinders recovery program in recent years has been expanded to include a special group of alcoholic men. The Shelter Plus Care program serves homeless alcoholics with a dual diagnosis of substance abuse and mental illness. This population is considered by health officials as one of the most under-served groups of homeless people in the nation.

UCSD Eating Disorders Program: Adult Programs

We treat adults with Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS), and Other Specified Eating or Feeding Disorder (OSFED), a category that includes subclinical eating disorders and atypical eating disorders (e.g., exercise bulimia, purging disorder). Additionally, our program offers targeted treatment for other conditions that are seen in patients with eating disorders, including substance abuse/dependence and trauma. Our program offers apartment housing to patients who are from out of town, or who require a temporary living arrangement that is safe and supportive in order to make progress in treatment. PHP and IOP options are available.

UCSD Eating Disorders Program: Adolescent Programs

The UCSD Adolescent Day Treatment Program for Eating Disorders is an intensive treatment program for adolescents (age 11 and up) with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) or Bulimia Nervosa (BN). Our program is primarily Family Based Therapy (FBT; also known as the Maudsley approach), and we utilize a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approach as well. PHP and IOP options are available.

Rady Children’s Hospital: Medical Behavioral Unit

Inpatient care is provided for children, adolescents and young adults with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and related eating disorders. These patients include those who have abnormal cardiovascular function or are severely underweight and require nutrition intervention and monitoring under expert care.

Montecatini Eating Disorder Treatment Center

For more than 20 years, Montecatini has been helping adolescent and adult women struggling with eating disorders. In our warm and intimate environment, we provide safe and effective treatment to even the most complex and high acuity patients. Center for Discovery Del Mar is a leader in residential treatment for women struggling with eating disorders as a primary diagnosis. We are solely committed to helping adult women with eating disorders achieve long-term recovery and live happy and productive lives. During our more than 15 year history, we have developed our proprietary treatment method that delivers successful results and has earned us a legacy of success. At Center for Discovery, we understand that women with eating disorders both need and deserve specialized treatment that is personalized for their individual situation. By keeping eating disorder treatment as our sole focus, treatment can be specialized, leading to a more effective and efficient program.

Center for Discovery: Adolescent Program

Our teen eating disorder treatment settings provides a place where residents and their families can be guided and comforted through the treatment process. Our home-like setting and limited number of residents allows for the most personalized of care for each resident to address their specific needs and situation in a relaxed and spacious environment. Through our residential La Jolla location, the experiences, skills and knowledge learned during treatment are more easily related and transferred to life beyond treatment.
