Arc of San Diego
The Arc of San Diego is one of the largest, most comprehensive providers of services to children and adults with disabilities in San Diego County. All our programs promote social, economic, and personal independence.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Friends In Hand Clubhouse
NAMI’s Friends In Hand Clubhouse provides free support (not treatment) for recovery for adults recovering from mental illness.

Neighborhood House Association: Friendship Clubhouse
Friendship Clubhouse strives to create a safe, supportive environment that is sensitive to each member’s unique needs. Friendship Clubhouse focuses on socialization, social and independent living skills enhancement, wellness and recovery, recreation and vocational rehabilitation. The goal of Friendship Clubhouse is the empowerment of members to re-establish their normal roles in the community and to successfully re-integrate into community life through active participation in the planning and achievement of their personal recovery goals. Friendship Clubhouse members can choose how often they attend the program and in which activities they participate. Membership in the program is not a prerequisite to attend program activities or benefit from its services.

San Diego LGBT Community Center and Hillcrest Youth Center
The San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center, Inc., (The Center) is the nation’s second oldest and one of the largest LGBT community centers. Functioning as the LGBT community’s anchor organization, The Center is led by a 15-member board of directors, employs more than 50 paid staff and utilizes more than 1000 community volunteers to achieve its twin goals of promoting LGBT health and human rights. The Center provides direct program services to the many different facets of the LGBT community, including men, women, youth, seniors, families, LGBT Latino community members and their families, and those struggling with HIV. Last year The Center provided more than 61,000 direct service visits to San Diego community members, and through its events, activities and advocacy, touched the lives of thousands more.

North County LGBT Resource Center
Through the vision, dedication and hard work of our supporters, the North County LGBTQ Resource Center became a reality in November 2011. We will bring together to collaborate ideas, share resources, and extend our profile in our community. We envision the Resource Center as a visible symbol of the LGBT community in North County San Diego. The Resource Center will offer support, build, educate, and improve the relationships of the LGBT community and our friends and allies. Services include support groups for the youth, seniors, military service members, HIV/AIDS testing and prevention, counseling, civil rights advocacy, classes and workgroups.

Doors of Change: Taking Music and Arts to the Streets (TMATS)
TMATS is a weekly event at which homeless youth ages 12-24 gather in Ocean Beach for free music and art lessons, dinner, clothes, shoes, social services, and chiropractic treatments. The music program includes lessons in guitar, ukulele, keyboard, drums, violin, mandolin, bass, and harmonica. When youth participate in TMATS, they are incentivized to help themselves. If they attend five two-hour classes, they earn an instrument of their choice or art supplies.

Doors of Change: Hope through Expressive Arts and Love (HEAL)
The Hope through Expressive Arts and Love (HEAL) is a new program for homeless and disadvantaged youth ages 12-24. The weekly HEAL program facilitates healing and empowerment through the creation of all mediums of art with an emphasis on recycled and sustainable art and jewelry. The program is youth driven and focuses on creating projects that the youth can continue to create on the streets to earn money and live more self-sufficiently.

City of San Diego: Park & Recreation
The City of San Diego Park & Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational activities and programs for both children and adults. Most of these activities and programs take place at our recreation centers and pools but some of them take place in our regional parks.
