Thank you for choosing the San Diego Center for Children.
With the support of our community, San Diego Center for Children has been providing a hopeful path for a better future to countless families since 1887. As the oldest nonprofit dedicated to serving youth in San Diego, the Center has evolved into a nationally accredited organization, providing vital support to children and families dealing with significant mental health challenges.
Today, our dedicated team of nearly 400 culturally sensitive and trauma-informed professionals serves the needs of over 1,000 youth and families daily across 9 program sites and in numerous homes, schools, and communities throughout San Diego County.
Our comprehensive continuum of services offers a diverse range of evidence-based, personalized mental health care and educational support to children and families from all backgrounds.
Recent years have brought unprecedented challenges that have only underscored and intensified the pediatric mental health crisis affecting our community. The demand for our services has surged, with an increase, not only in the number of youth impacted, but also in the severity of the conditions we address. We are grateful for the support and partnerships that enable us to expand our efforts and deliver quality, responsive, and accessible care to those in need.
Together, we can effect transformative change and make a lasting impact on the needs of the community we are privileged to serve.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Rode, Ph.D.
